(More customer reviews)First off, let me say that if you haven't purchased Gabe Dixon's newest album, you must do that as you buy this book. It's amazing! I'm assuming that since you're looking for the songbook, you've already heard his songs. The book lives up to what I expected it to be: Piano tabs with the melody included in the notes, guitar tabs, and vocals.
I've had the book for about a day now and have played through the entire book. It has a medium level of difficulty and is pretty fun to play. My only beef about the book is that I wished it would include just the tabs that Gabe plays and not include the melody line embedded in it. I'm able to play around with the tabs a bit and sing the melody, but it would be nice to add some of the flair that Gabe includes (which i haven't been able to make up yet). However, that's how all of these songbooks are written so i guess i can't complain that much about it. That little tidbit shouldn't prevent anyone from buying this book. It's great and I highly recommend it! Great job Gabe, I've been waiting for your book for quite sometime!

The creativity of his variations and the amazingness of his original compositions is breathtaking. I have been playing the piano for a few years and I finally got this book. I recommend it to anyone. His music is deceivingly simple, allowing even intermediate musicians to use this book and improve through it, but makes you sound like a pro. Check it out.

(More customer reviews)This book is certainly worth getting if you want to play ABBA's songs. However, several of the songs (Fernando, Dancing Queen, Chiquitita, and others) tend to leave out some of the notes that are best known in the song. Chiquitita leaves out both the intro and the instrumental ending; Fernando leaves out the intro, and Dancing Queen leaves out some crucial 'fill' notes in the verses that are included in the "Easy Piano" version according to the "Look Inside" feature on this web site (Amazon.com).
Despite these few things, It's still fun to play the songs! And it does include all the songs from the album of the same name.

(More customer reviews)My wife loves this book. Piano lessons tend to focus more on the classical side of music. This book is a great, simple-looking, starter toward jazz. All the songs are familiar. The rhythm presents the biggest challenge but it is well worth the effort. "Easy" in this case is not for your average first or second year pianist but if you love "A Charlie Brown Christmas" you will be able to master it one song at a time. Also, a simple version of "Fur Elise" is included and very playable.

(More customer reviews)I purchased a used version of this based off the previous reviews. I definitely agree the weighted keyboard has a nice feel to it (this is coming from someone who's used acoustic pianos in the past) and the keyboard itself is very slim & not too heavy...easy to carry around.
What was really disappointing was the sound...it sounds a little masked, not sharp/crisp. I'm not very picky, I just wanted a full keyboard to practice on, but this was something that bothered me. I actually was able compare it to a Casio WK-200 (which is a cheaper keyboard) & surprisingly the CDP-100 sounded worse than it's cheaper counterpart.
I brushed off someone's previous comment about the sound because I figured it couldn't be that bad. It is that bad, so take this into consideration if you're planning to purchase.
