(More customer reviews)This is one of the worst puraches I've ever made on Amazon, and certainly not worth the price tag. The quality of sound is awful no matter which style of "piano" sound you choose (and I use the word "piano" loosely). The rubber has a strong cheap toxic smell - I was nauseous after practicing for 30 min. I rolled my keyboard on a flat wooden table, and I still had to strike the rubber keys very hard to make a sound. I debated on returning, but needed it to practice though I'm not sure it helped much anyway. Possibly keeping the keyboard rolled out flat in the open air might help eleminate the strength of the smell.

(More customer reviews)The product was priced about what I expected, close to $4.00, the shipping was more than the product at under $5.00. But I'll spend that much on a lunch out sometimes. My son had been waiting since November for me to get this for him (I promised). When I got it and saw it was NOT folded to fit in a smaller envelope (I was concerned about that) and it looked exactly like one of the two ways I've seen single-song sheet music: Cardstock exterior with loose pages inside, and shipped flat; I was pleased. I've seen accordian folded cardstock sheet music for piano and I would have prefered that, but this was good.

(More customer reviews)I love this hand-roll piano but that's not why I made my second purchase in as many months. I bought the second one for research. The reason is that when I opened the first piano it smelled strongly of chemicals for three days. Although the fumes from "off-gassing" (like the new car smell) have no discernable effect in small amounts, their effect on vulnerable people is unknown. My son has a chromosomal anomoly and played with the piano every waking hour for the first day. That night he went into a mental tailspin from which he's still recovering, three weeks later.
The fumes were probably from a solvent used in the manufacture of the resin coating the rubber. Many such solvents have been banned for use in the United States but there are no controls over how imported products are manufactured.
I like China, but, yes, the first piano was manufactured there from a firm that has since disappeared. It would not be surprising if they used a cheap but dangerous form of solvent. I have not yet opened the box of the second one, since I want to caputre a sample of the fumes. But the lesson here for other purchasers is to thoroughly air the piano outdoors until any chemical smell is gone. The product shouldn't be dangerous after that. There's no lead issue.

Roll up Piano Review

(More customer reviews)The keys are very hard to get sound. I must to push strongest with my fingers in order to get a note.
If you keep pressed a key, the note isn't legato, it unexpectedly sounds a pair of times.
Forgot to play a melody, the only way to play something is using both forefingers very hard on the roll up piano.
Please, never mind about buy this keyboard.
I have shame to re-sell it to somebody.

(More customer reviews)I ordered this item and it played beautifully and I thought I had a great solution to finding a temporary keyboard for my 7 year old to play while we traveled. There was something faulty and it kept turning itself off and I was unable to turn it back on without letting it sit for awhile. So, I returned it. I then borrowed one from a friend and while hers turned on and off when I wanted, most of the keys weren't functioning any longer. So, it is a short lived, extremely fragile product and is not worth the time.
