(More customer reviews)Not everyone has a need for this but if you do, it works very well. It plays a CD well enough although if that's all you need then don't buy this. What it does well is it can either speed or slow the tempo of what is on the CD without changing the pitch, or it can change the pitch of what is on the CD without changing the tempo. It also acts as a tuner. And, it can remove center channel vocals if you want to just hear the music portion of what is on the CD.
Regarding the tempo and pitch change, it executes these tasks flawlessly.
Regarding the vocal elimination, it removes the vocals satisfactorily. I don't think any machine can do a perfect job because there's too many hitches inherent in the recording, but this one does a good enough job so that the vocals are faint enough for someone to sing over and not compete with them.
Build quality is good - it is part of the Teac company and they make quality stuff. I bought a separate power transformer for this unit so I didn't have to worry about batteries, so I have no comments regarding how long the batteries last.
The controls and functions are neatly laid out on the panel and are easy to use. The instruction book is easy to follow. This product does what I bought it for very well so I am happy with it.

Based on multiple reviews of this instrument and others, I opted for this (and I got the power supply, too, to save batteries). Even though I have not yet used all of the powerful features of this metronome, I love everything about it thus far. It is easy to use. It adjusts in multiple ways, making it fully adaptable to the way and volume level that works best for me to hear and keep the beat. After only a couple of times, I found that I can easily make any adjustments with one hand - not needing to wrangle with the metronome in order to get the setting I need. And I love the "tap" feature that lets me choose the tempo without dialing to the exact beats per second setting. I would highly recommend this fine instrument to any one who is serious about practice.

Yamaha PA130 AC Adapter Power Supply Review

(More customer reviews)I have a PSR-195 that had a busted adapter that was no longer available on the Yamaha website. I read that this adapter would be compatible for that older adapter, ordered it on a whim, and was happy to find that not only did it work perfectly--it also was smaller than the older plug and used up less energy. :3 Can't beat that. Still, I reinforced the head of the plug with duct tape to reduce any chances of stripping--which was the reason I had to throw out the last adapter. I'm glad I bought this--it saved me from losing my trusted keyboard!

(More customer reviews)Does exactly what the description says, however in the long run, it's just a very average AC power adapter that can be replaced by any 12V generic one. The cord is too short, I'd estimate around 5-6 feet, so you may have difficulty playing your piano if it isn't up against the wall. (Additionally, it will serve as a tripping hazard if your piano is positioned 3-4 feet away from the wall.)
